MICHELE FERRARA (Nee Magill); 74, Beloved wife of James D. Jr.; Loving mother of Brett (Renee) and Sean (Kimberly); Cherished grandmother of Morgan, Zoe, Vinnie, Reese, Giada, and Celia; Loving daughter of Marilyn J. and the late William C. Magill, Jr.; Dearest sister of Patricia Krupa (Gary), William Magill (Sharon), Jacqueline Perry (Michael), George Magill (Mary Jo), and Mary Freeman (Craig); Dear aunt of many; Michele was a parishioner at St. Barnabas for over 50 years, and a member of St. Vincent de Paul at St Barnabas for 39 years as well as  their President for 28 years. She was one of the 5 founding members of the Cleveland Furniture Bank in 2006 and President of their board for 11 years. Michele was the Founder of “Obras de Caridad” a SVDP like outreach program to help the people of Teotepeque, El Salvador, where she made many mission trips. She was a Past Cleveland Diocesan Council  President for St. Vincent de Paul. During her tenure, three Ozanam Outreach centers for food and clothing were opened; 2 in Cleveland and 1 in Akron, Ohio. She Co-founded a Hot Meal program  and initiated additional support for Holy Name Parish as a part of St. Barnabas’s support for the diocese Church in the City initiative and she initiated and organized St. Barnabas’s participation for a hot lunch program and additional support for Open M outreach Center in Akron and helped initiate a Jobs Club Program at St. Barnabas. Michele started volunteering when her sons attended St. Barnabas school and continued her volunteer work when her sons attended Trinity High School. She was the first female president of the Athletic Association at Trinity High School and much of her time was spent watching her husband and sons’ many sports activities, even though she was not a sports fan! Michele enjoyed participating in many activities herself; golf, bridge, mahjongg, card club, hiking the area parks and being a longtime season ticket holder at Playhouse Square with 6 friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Michele’s name are suggested to SVDP of St. Barnabas. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST. RT. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR A MEMORIAL VISITATION Friday, June 16th from 5-9PM. Family and friends are asked to gather Saturday, June 17th at St. Barnabas Catholic Church 9451 Brandywine Rd. Northfield, OH for a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Michele’s life at 10:00AM.
