Jean Niehaus

Mildred Jean Niehaus, “Jean” (née Dettloff), age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Jean will be remembered for her remarkable kindness, unbridled joy, and zeal for life. She positively impacted countless lives through her enduring friendships, spirit of service, and unconditional love for those around her.

She is survived by her devoted children, Fredrick Niehaus, Robert (Donna) Niehaus, and Rodney (Brenda) Niehaus; cherished grandmother of Michael (Erin) Niehaus, Mark Niehaus, Kellie (Nick) Maertz, and Matthew Niehaus; and the proud great-grandmother of Claire and Cecilia. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard Niehaus, and her sister, Evelyn Peacock.

Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD (RTE. 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, FRIDAY, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Graveside service will immediately follow at All Saints Cemetery.
