Gerald Louis Filips

GERALD LOUIS FILIPS. Jerry Filips was born May 9, 1948 and passed away May 20 2023. He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Theresa Filips (nee Simoncic) and his brother Donald.  Jerry is survived by his wife Kit (nee Catri), Son Scott (Lori), and grandsons, Tyler and Nathan. He was a member of Pipe Fitters local 120 for 54 years, retired vice president Relmec Mechanical, President SJF Investments, and Chairman of the Board of SC Fastening Systems. He enjoyed cruising in his Corvette and world traveling with Kit, especially to China and Africa. However, family was most important to Jerry!

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON FRIDAY, MAY 26 FROM 3-8 P.M. All are asked to gather at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, 32001 Cannon Road, Solon, OH on Saturday, May 27 at 10 a.m. to celebrate Jerry’s Mass of Christian Burial. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
