ANTHONY ROBERT HOLUB, 98, of Garfield Heights, entered into eternal rest on April 16, 2024 and rejoined his beloved wife Mary (nee Schulz).
He was born on October 12, 1925 in Cleveland to Anton J. and Amelia M. Holub (nee Mekker). Anthony was preceded in death by his sister Jean.
He is the loving father of Robert (Constance), Linda Reifschneider (deceased) (Russel), Sharon, and Beverly. The loving grandfather of Lori King (Reifschneider) (Sean, deceased), Kimberly Cook (Mike), Scott Reifschneider, and Robert (Katie). He was the very proud great-grandfather of Madeline Cook, Deshaun King, Emily Holub, Michael Cook, Chance King, and Ella King.
Tony worked in the Automotive Parts industry starting at the age of 15. He began his career as a counter man and after learning the business became a store manager. In 1964 he and Richard “Spike” Sobanski partnered to open May-Green Auto Supply which they successfully ran for 25 years. After selling the business in 1989 he continued his career in the industry working as a counter man in an auto parts store and finally as a delivery man for an automotive parts warehouse until retiring at the age of 86. Anthony was a Purple Heart Recipient serving in the U.S. Army during W.W.II
