Dennis Charvat Obituary

DENNIS G. CHARVAT 85 years of age, of Little River South Carolina, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019. Loving husband of Rose Lynn Oswald-Charvat and the late Joan; Cherished father of Debbie Eschweiler, Doreen Balata, Dennis (Diane), and the late Denise Sweet; Dearest grandfather of 10; dear great-grandfather of 10; brother of the late  Mary Ellen Holesovsky and Richard Charvat. Loving and loyal friend of many. Dennis retired as a sergeant from the  Maple Heights Police Department where he served for 26 years before finishing his career as Chief of Police in Newbury, Ohio. Mr. Charvat was a past President of George Murray FOP Lodge #67 where he was an active member for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Ohio Retired Police Chiefs Association and a veteran of the United States Army.In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name  to the George Murray FOP Lodge #67 4972 E. 71st Street Cuyahoga Heights, OH 44125. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD (ST RT 82) SAGAMORE HILLS where Memorial  Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM. MEMORIAL VISITATION SATURDAY 9:00 until time of service. Interment Munn Cemetery .
